The Internet is a double-edged sword. Every day my inbox nearly overflows with junk mail of all kinds. We are constantly hearing of new cyberscams and unthinkable crimes that are committed due to misuse of the Internet.

On the other hand, when used properly, the Internet can be a wonderful tool for making the world a better place. There is so much knowledge out there that is only a click away. We can use our computers to be smart consumers. We can use them to stay healthy. We can also use them as a means of spiritual growth.

Websites like www.aish.org and www.Torah.org are tremendous resources for people interested in learning more about Judaism.

I now submit, with G-d's help, my own humble contribution to the world of cyberTorah. Since 1998, I have been conducting a weekly "Torah Talk". I try to present a lesson on the weekly Torah Portion and the holidays in a lively and relevant fashion. In September 2000, I started sending it out in e-mail form.

And now, we're on the Web for your reading pleasure (and, hopefully, inspiration.) I hope you like it. If you do, let me know. If you don't, let me know.

With Best Wishes,

Rabbi Yerachmiel Seplowitz
